Regulated creative: speed without losing sign-off.

In regulated sectors, the bottleneck is rarely translation. It is sign-off. Here is how to design around it.

In pharma, finance, and other regulated sectors, the bottleneck is almost never translation. It is sign-off.

We have seen perfectly fine campaigns sit in review for six weeks because the workflow assumed legal would check at the end. By then, every market wants a different change, and the project starts again.

Design the workflow around the reviewers

Three things move the needle:

  • Get the medical/legal reviewer named before the first word is written. Not the function. The person.
  • Run a glossary review before transcreation, not after. The expensive disputes are about terminology, not phrasing.
  • Use parallel review by market, not sequential. If twelve markets are waiting on each other, you have already lost two weeks.

None of this slows the creative. It moves the disputes earlier, when they are cheap.
